LockBlock
"A fast, free, secure bike lock, retrofittable to existing bike stands."
LockBlock was designed as a means for city councils to meet cycling targets. It is a low cost, high quality bike lock that is retrofittable to existing street furniture.
The vast majority of bike theft is opportunistic, due to low quality locks. LockBlock defends against opportunistic attacks with a high quality steel chain, long enough to secure frame and wheels.
Good locks are heavy and are often left on bike stands. Users do not want to spend money on a quality lock after the expense of a bike. LockBlock is free to use, all thats needed is a padlock.
